About Shaun

Shaun has been involved in the sport of wrestling since he was 7 years old and in a competitive career that spanned 20 yrs, he competed internationally at many level including European, World and Commonwealth Games. Shaun was British senior Champion of 5 occasions and won an athletic scholarship to university in Virginia where he achieve a BSc Hons degree in Economics and Human Resource Management.

In more recent years he became involved in coaching at a national level before, in 2007, becoming the Performance Director with responsibilities for managing and developing a world class programme for British Wrestling's elite athletes and managing British Wrestling's participation in the London 2012 Olympics. Shaun is also one of British Wrestling's international referees.

Shaun's current role is Team Leader for England wrestlers going to Glasgow 2014, following successful management of the teams at the Manchester 2002 and Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.  (Wrestling was not on the programme in Melbourne 2006).

Outside wrestling Shaun is an officer with the Police Service in South Yorkshire.
