As athletes from all the Home Nations fly out to Johannesburg, The British Wrestling Association wishes them the best of luck.
Teams have been fielded by England, Scotland and Wales and the competition will take place 5-7th December 2013.
Organised by the South African Wrestling Federation, wrestlers will be attending from across the Commonwealth, which comprises of 54 Nations, with an estimated population of 2.245 billion, almost a third of the world population.
Many sports have their own Commonwealth Championships, but these should be distinguished from the multi-sport Commonwealth Games where wrestling takes place 29-13 July 2014 in Glasgow (link).
The Commonwealth Wrestling Championships will be run in accordance with the new FILA wrestling rules with
the modified Commonwealth Wrestling Association rules and pool system, team scoring and team compliment.

Northern Ireland is not travelling to South Africa for the Commonwealth Championships on this occasion.
