Bookings are now open for British Wrestling’s 2nd Annual Officials and Referee Conference taking place on the 23rd April at the British Judo Olympic and Paralympic Centre in Walsall.
The aim of this year’s conference is teamwork, mastering the basics and how to use the BWA C-Mats Competition System. The conference is part of British Wrestling’s strategic ambition to develop the wrestling workforce to deliver the best combat sport experience in the UK.
The agenda for the day (subject to change) is:
- General updates – British Wrestling
- Rules and Regulation changes – Lead Technical Official
- Mat Blast/Beach Wrestling update – UWW Referee, Lee Seggl
- UWW update – UWW Academy
- How to get your BWA Referee License
- Competition basics
- How to use the C-Mats Competition System (how to use it as a pairer, official and referee)
- Running through mock competitions
Refreshments and Lunch will be provided on the day. It will be a long day so bring water and your referee kit i.e change of clothes, red/yellow cards, whistle etc
