Beers named after traditional wrestling moves to be released each month this year…
Dave Sweeny’s symbolic gesture hits international news as KeepWrestlingintheOlympics.com features the Bolton News item of Saturday 30th March.
Indeed, more than just symbolic, there will be great beers to taste and money raised will be going into grassroots wresting in the form of some of the sales being donated to Sharples Wrestling Club.
Beers will include the Chancery, Back Bridge and Nelson.
Mr Sweeney said: “After it was announced that wrestling was being taken out of the Olympics in 2020, we spoke to Sharples Wrestling Club’s head coach Eddie Kavanagh. With my enthusiasm for wrestling and making a lot of beers I thought supporting the club could raise the profile of the sport.”
The brewery boss wrestled with old pal, Ian Parker, who helps run Sharples Wrestling Club since it was formed over five years ago.
