Interim England Committee

 

The 1st meeting took place of a new committee on 31st January 2012 – The interim England Wrestling Committee

The interim committee is formed from: –

The Key Functions of the committee are: –

  1. To provide an integrated approach to the development and growth of wrestling in England through good communication channels with key volunteers and BWA Executive Committee
  2. To provide a forum for England matters to be discussed.

 

The Remit of the committee is to inform and support the work of the BWA within England. This will include:

  1. Strategic oversight of England Talent Pathway
  2. Supporting delivery of projects pertaining to Sport England funding for Wrestling
  3. Representing the views of BWA members, clubs, schools and other partners
  4. Feeding back English matters to BWA board via its minutes and any special papers
  5. Feeding back to BWA members in England on matters decided by BWA Board

 

The British Wrestling Association Board has overall responsibility for wrestling both in the UK and specifically England, but delegates management of wrestling in England to the English Wrestling Committee (EWC).
