A revised set of Articles was ratified at the 4th November 2017 BWA Annual General Meeting.
Now 4x Home Nations Directors are up for recruitment.
In the new Articles, Nations and Regions Committee nominated directors are replaced with Home Nation directors who ensure that the Board continues to benefit from those with experience of the wrestling scene within each of the four Home Nations.
Each Home Nation is now recruiting, via open advertising, for these 4x Director roles. As a central location to view the role-descriptor for the Director positions, the British Wrestling website is being used and Home Nations are also making their own arrangements.
Any Home Nations member is welcome to apply. Candidates do not need to be from the existing Home Nations (or Regions for England) committees/Board etc..
If anyone wishes to apply to be a Home Nations Director, for ease of process, they could route their application via the British Wrestling Administrator (admin@britishwrestling.org)
or follow local arrangements, with a minimum of their CV and a covering letter as to why they have applied. Further information is on the British Wrestling Jobs page (link to jobs page).
Closing Date 7th January 2018
Additionally, the Articles have put in place various requirements which, along with a lot of other work, have enabled British Wrestling to meet the UK Sport / Sport England “New Code of Sports Governance.” This is a requirement that enables British Wrestling to continue to be in receipt of public funding.
Sport England announced the results of the implementation across all funded National Governing Bodies of Sport on 20th December 2017.
