It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Allan Best who died peacefully on Monday after a short battle with cancer.
Allan was a stalwart of British Wrestling in terms of record keeping of all competitions since the turn of the 20th century. He was always available to try to solve many family mysteries and stories and his immaculate record keeping ensured that true facts were relayed to the enquirers.
Allan was a true gentleman, a great family man and when it came to even the most obscure wrestling enquiries, nothing was too much trouble for him.
The funeral will be held at Skipton Crematorium at 11:00am on the 6th August with a gathering afterwards.
