In a joint British Wrestling – Haringey Club – Lewisham Club initiative, young wrestlers got together to design Anti-Bullying posters.
The session was led by British Wrestling’s Lead Safeguarding Officer, Yvonne Ball.
The initiative was set up as part of a series of events to mark Anti-Bullying Week (17-21Nov) with its theme of “Let’s Stop Bullying For All”
Said Muladi Badibengi, leader of Lewisham Club, “We were very happy for the British Wrestling visit and everyone got a lot out of the workshop.”
Also during the week, the British Wrestling Board endorsed a new Anti-Bullying policy (link). This policy received detailed consideration with input from the CPSU (Child Protection in Sport Unit, a unit within the NSPCC,) the Northern Ireland branch of the NSPCC and Yvonne Ball. Thanks to everyone for their contributions.
