Applicants invited for additional Coach Tutor roles

21/12/2018
Applications are invited for additional Coach Tutors by the deadline of Sunday 6th January 2019.

The Board of British Wrestling has decided that the BWA should work towards a stable set of 6x Training Centres located one in each of the Home Nations but including one in each England Region. There is also the intention to develop Continued Professional Development (CPD) courses for UKCC-qualified coaches.

With this expansion of locations and courses, there is a need to expand the current set of UKCC Tutors.

The job advert is at the Jobs page [link] on the British Wrestling Website and the Coach Tutor specification for the is available at the following [link].

Interviews for applicants will either be in person, or via skype, depending on geography/availability, on or around weekend 12/13 January.

Successful applicants would be expected to take part in a 3-day qualification and assessment course. (The dates are expected to be 16/17 February 2019 with a further date to be confirmed. Please keep thse dates clear).

Those wishing to apply

  • should send a letter/e-mail detailing their knowledge, skills, experience and philosophy to membership@BritishWrestling.org or Operations Manager at 41 Great Clowes Street Salford M7 1RQ, by Sunday 6th January 2019
  • take initial steps to prepare a short Powerpoint presentation on “Why is Coach Education Important” for use as part of the interview process in the event that an applicant is called for interview. (The reason for mentioning this here is that time between communication of successful application and interview may be short and it was felt important to give a “heads up”)

And finally, in a previous round of web-posting, course delegates were secured for 3x Official Tutor roles. At this recruitment round, no further Officials Tutors are being sought. However, the Tutors’ Qualification Course equips delegates as tutors, whether for tutoring coaching courses or officials courses.

Any questions should be directed to membership@BritishWrestling.org
