2015 World Veteran Championships

A GBR team attended the World Veteran Championships in Athens, Greece.
They were accompanied by Lee Seggl, who attended a UWW Referees course prior to the Championships
Results thus far:
FS Category C 63K – John Capstick lost to Japan 0-10. The Japanese athlete went onto win Gold Medal but unfortunately John lost 0-10 to GER in his bronze medal match
FS Category C 76K – Stuart McKay lost to GRE 6-16 and did not progress further
FS Category D 85K – Bruce Irwin lost to USA 4-14 and did not progress further
FS Category E 76K – Bob McLucas lost to GER 0-10 and did not progress further
FS Category G 76K – Gurdev Delay was in a group of 5 so had 4 matches. 1st Rnd lost 0-4 fall to IRI, 2nd Rnd lost 0-7 fall to RSA, 3rd Rd lost 0-8 fall to ITA, 4 Rd won through injury default to IND.
GR Category E 69K – Hossein Asgharyzadegan withdrew through injury when he was 1-8 down against IRI
GR Category G 76K – Gurdev Delay lost 0-9 to ITA and did not progress further.
