Bolton Wrestling Event

16/08/2012

Saturday 8th September promises to be an evening to remember in Bolton with the first Wrestling Dinner Gala.

In what may become an annual event, the Reebock Stadium, famous home to Bolton Wanderers Football Club,  will become a wrestling venue for the evening.

In a great example of Local Authority and Community Club cooperation, Bolton Wrestling Club, Sharples Wrestling Club and Bolton Local Authority have come together to form the Bolton Wrestling Development Group. In addition to planning activities to develop young wrestlers of the future, the group are holding a Gala evening.
There will be bouts with North-West wrestlers ‘v’ the rest of the country and members of the World Class GB Wrestling Programme should be there.

Bolton Wrestling Development Group pinned down earlier success on 2nd August when they held well attended open days at their clubs as part of a series of events marking the Bolton 2012 Games, a summer-long festival of sport open to all young people aged 8-14 in Bolton.

For bookings / information for the Wrestling Gala Evening, do please contact – 01204 334243 or email by clicking Sporthealthinclusion@bolton.gov.uk
