- British Wrestling have partnered up with the National Police Chiefs’ Council Hydrant Programme
“We’re thrilled to partner with the NPCC Hydrant Programme. This collaboration brings invaluable expertise and support to British Wrestling, enhancing the safeguarding measures we provide to our membership and strengthening the protection within our sport,” said Andreas Michaelas, British Wrestling Safeguarding Lead.
- The Hydrant Programme was set up to support:
- Improvement of Police Services responding to the safeguarding of children and investigation of child sexual abuse
- Increase victim, survivor and public confidence in the police approach.
- Maintain effective liaison with strategic partners and key stakeholders
- Co-ordinate the receipt of safeguarding referrals and reports of crime on behalf of police forces in the UK.
The Hydrant Programme’s latest campaign, “When You Are Ready – About,” is dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced abuse, providing assistance at a time that feels right for them.
