British Wrestling has launched a new Coach Register, giving the public an easy way to check if a coach is qualified and licensed before they start training.
Why it matters
Choosing a coach is an important decision. The register lets anyone confirm that a coach meets British Wrestling’s standards, giving parents, athletes, and clubs confidence in the quality and safety of instruction they’re receiving.
Only coaches who meet British Wrestling’s requirements are listed. Level 2 coaches can coach independently. Level 1 coaches must work under the supervision of a Level 2 coach.
For coaches
The register is also a chance for coaches to be seen. Coaches can update their profile with their location, coaching disciplines, and preferred way to be contacted, including a private ‘Contact Me’ form. A complete, up-to-date profile means more visibility and more opportunities to connect with new athletes and clubs.
For the sport
The Coach Register supports trust, professionalism, and growth across wrestling in the UK — helping the public train with confidence, and helping coaches build their reputation.
