The hosting of this even is by the Bolton Wrestling Development Group (a combination of Bolton, Sharples and Heartlift)
 
DATE OF COMPETITION: Saturday, 23rd October 2010
VENUE: BOLTON ARENA
AGES & WEIGHTS:
JUNIOR & CADETS (16 years to 20 years at the time of competition)
(16 & 17 yrs must have parental and coach consent, proforma below)
Males: 50K, 55K, 60K, 66K, 74K, 84K, 96K, 120K
Females: To be matched on the day in accordance with BWA Rules
The BWA, for a trial period, encourage Cadets (16/17) to participate along with Juniors (17/18/19) in the Junior weight categories. However, the discretion of athlete/coach/ parents must at all times take precedence in making the decision dependent upon ability and experience. Cadets can only enter one of the above categories not both.
SCHOOLBOYS & GIRLS (7 years to 17 years at the time of competition). To be matched on the day in accordance with BWA Rules.
EXPERIENCE:
A British competition is not intended for novices (there is a novice competition to be held at the YMCA Club, Manchester) date to be confirmed) and adequate experience of competitors is the responsibility of the coach. Attention is drawn to the Coaches’ Appendix (P32) within the CHILD PROTECTION POLICY IMPLEMENTATION & PROCEDURE DOCUMENT – July 2005: –

• ensures all practices are suitable and relevant dependent upon the age, maturity, experience and ability of athletes;

09:00 – Arrival of all coaches and wrestlers
09:15 – Referees, Officials & Coaches meeting
09:30 – March In, wrestling to commence immediately afterwards
Please note that Club Secretaries must ensure that their Clubs, Coaches, Competitors and Officials are registered with the BWA for 2010 prior to the Championships. Coaches will need to register to get competition badges to go in corners
NO membership applications or entries will be accepted on the day of the competition. Any person not registered or whose entry has not been received by the closing date will not be allowed to participate.
