Alexandre Medved International Tournament

Today, (Friday March 12th 2010,) four of the British National Performance Squad competed in the Minsk Grand Prix Tournament.
There were 22 countries competing with the majority of the world’s best wrestlers coming from around the world including Russia, USA, Japan and India.
Again Yana Rattigan was the outstanding performer convincingly beating the World Junior Champion on route to an eventual bronze medal. Her results were as follows:
 
48 Kgs – Yana Rattigan
Round One vs Yarova (AZE) – Won 1-0 , 7-0
Round Two vs Budaeva (RUS) – Won 5- 0 , Pin in second period
Quarter Final vs Avutalipova (KAZ) – Won 3-2 , 5 -1
Semi Final vs Oydopova (RUS) – Lost by fall in first round
Bronze medla match vs Paulava (BLR) – Won 7 -0 , Won by fall in second period
Final Position – 3rd
