Following the announcement that much of South East England has moved to a new tier 4 restriction level from 20th Decemeber we are updating our guidance to include the new highest level. We can confirm that British Wrestling will remain at the Return to Club stage of our Return to the Mat plan in for Tiers 1 and 2 with additional restrictions for Tiers 3 and 4.
In Tier 3 areas only under 18’s are allowed to participate in indoor activities. Over 18’s can participate in outdoor classes in groups of up to 30 people, including the coach(es), in a public outdoor space.
In Tier 4 areas only outdoor activity with one other person is permitted in public spaces for Over 18’s. We believe there remains the opportunity to deliver outdoor socially distanced training activities for Under 18’s and are seeking further guidance on this matter. Clubs with their own facilities must close the facility.
You can find out what tier you or your club are in by entering your postcode here or checking the list here.
In all tiers activity should be delivered in line with the Return to Club stage meaning:
Further details and guidance can be found in the resources on our Coronavirus page.
You should avoid travelling between Tiers where possible and should follow the rules of the highest tier when you must travel.
We appreciate your patience in waiting for this guidance, we are continuing to receive updates from Sport England and DCMS and the guidance may change at short notice.
