In the semi-finals, Erica Elizabeth WIEBE (CAN) df. Georgina by VSU, 11 – 0. Wiebe, (75kg Rio 2016 Olympic and Glasgow 2014 Gold medallist) went on to these finals too and wins Gold putting Georgina into the repechage.

In the qualification round, Curtis df. Suresh Chanaka WARNAKULASURIYA FERNANDO (SRI) by VFA, 6 – 0.
In the quarter finals, Johannes Petrus BOTHA (RSA) df. Curtis by VSU 10 – 0. But Silver Medallist Botha put Curtis into the repechage.

Divoshan CHARLES FERNANDO (SRI) used two takedowns in the first 3 minutes to take a 4-0 lead over Ross. However, in an explosive start to the second period, Ross picked up a quick takedown and turn. At that point, the match was then tied with Ross leading 4-4 on criteria. However, by the end, Fernando df. Ross by VPO1, 12 – 6
