Following rapidly on the footsteps of the successful Slough Wrestling Tournament, there are now two competitions in quick succession:
The inaugural Derbyshire U12’s Tournament and the English Junior (FS, FW) Senior (GR) + Veteran (FS, GR) Jet Singh Memorial Championships – both with Trevor Hoskins as Competition Director and Richard Phillips as Official in Charge.
Follow links to the British Wrestling competition pages for further information on the two tournaments.
The U12’s is an innovative idea to introduce young athletes to competitive wrestling in a relaxed environment. The regulations allow for wrestlers as young as 4yrs old to compete.
In contrast, the English Juniors is a tournament where athletes are expected to have previous competitive experience.
Good luck to all those who enter and many thanks to the athletes, their parents, the coaches and officials and all the many volunteers that enable these events to take place.
