At British Wrestling, we have been working hard to develop a five‑year roadmap for education and learning from 2025 to 2030, shaped by feedback from learners, coaches, volunteers, tutors, and the wider wrestling community.
This roadmap aims to support learning and development at every stage of involvement in the sport. We are also committed to continually strengthening our safeguarding standards, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in British Wrestling.

British Wrestling’s coaching community has expanded significantly following the redevelopment of the coach education pathway. In response to this sustained growth and increasing demand, we have made targeted investments in the provision of continuous professional development opportunities. These initiatives are designed to support coaches at every stage of their journey, from assistant coaches to those operating at club level, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver high-quality coaching experiences.

Refereeing within British Wrestling has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with officials demonstrating continued improvements in their knowledge, confidence, and on-mat performance.
To build on this positive momentum, we have established a clear and structured five-year roadmap designed to support referees in their ongoing development, providing them with the guidance, resources, and opportunities needed to progress and perform at the highest standards.

Our community of clubs, volunteers, and workforce continues to expand, and we are committed to supporting them at every stage of their journey within the sport. To underpin this development, we have established a comprehensive education and learning roadmap, designed to provide accessible, relevant, and high-quality opportunities that empower individuals and organisations to grow, develop, and contribute effectively to British Wrestling.

British Wrestling remains fully committed to safeguarding our community and promoting the principles of clean sport. To support these priorities, we have developed a dedicated education and learning roadmap, aimed at upskilling and empowering the community with the knowledge, awareness, and best practices required to uphold the highest standards in safeguarding and anti-doping.
