Vacancies have arisen for the following roles:
England Talent Lead
Club Development Manager
and later, England National Coach
This is a brief alert to members and those outside the organisation that two vacancies have arisen with a third to come.
England Talent Lead:
This is a volunteer role that leads and coordinates British Wrestling Association resources to deliver a Talent Pathway for the British Wrestling Association membership. There is some small remuneration available in recognition that this is a responsible position that goes beyond what the organisation should expect from a volunteer.
A draft job description is available, which will be further tweaked in the New Year, but the motivation for publicising at this stage is that the ideal timeline for recruitment is to have the recruited individual in post in time for the NTS intake of 27th January 2018. That weekend is the first of the New Year and the first intake weekend.
Candidates should come to interview with firm ideas of how they would lead that, and subsequent weekends.
Applications/expressions of interest should be sent to the Administrator with cover letter and CV by 7th January 2018.
Details available on the Jobs page on the British Wrestling Website.
Club Development Manager:
This is a part-time remunerated role for (an) individual(s) to support clubs. There is some small remuneration that has been made available by Sport England.
The role-holder would work with existing clubs to make them more resiliant (securing grant/sponsorship funding, recruiting/retaining volunteers for club committee/volunteer positions, improving club/school links &etc. ensuring Safeguarding roles and processes are in place and effective). There would also be an emphasis on supporting the emergence of new clubs.
A detailed job description will be put together and published during January.
Applications/expressions of interest should be sent to the Administrator with cover letter and CV by 28th January 2018.
And also, early warning, from May 2018…
England National Coach:
It would be wrong to publish these two roles without alerting all to the vacancy that will arise for England National Coach following the Commonwealth Games in April 2018. This is a salaried role. After many years of hard work and many positive results, Anatolii Kharytoniuk will be stepping down from this role. The job description and application process for this role will be published in the New Year. The British Wrestling Association would like to take this opportunity to than Anatolii for all that he has done for the Association across many years.
In the meantime, The British Wrestling Association wishes all the best to each Home Nation in their preparations for Gold Coast 2018!
And, of course…
Happy Christmas to ALL
