Commonwealth England is delighted to announce that Preston-based international sportswear company Kukri Sports are England’s official kit supplier for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The agreement between Commonwealth Games England (CGE) and Kukri comes following months of research and consultation.
The public announcement of the deal took place in quintessentially English style on St George’s Day at St George’s Park National Football Centre, the Football Association’s state-of-the-art coaching and development facility, where Team Leaders were joined by CGE’s President, Dame Kelly Holmes and the Kukri team.
Kukri will be providing the England team with bespoke, high quality delegation and competition wear for the Games next year as well as replica items for England fans.
CGE thanked those NGBs that nominated athletes for their consultation panel. There will be an extensive sizing process to ensure athletes get correctly sized kit.
Team Leader Workshop
The CGE team were primarily at St George’s Park for the first of three Team Leader Workshops, a meeting that also marked the 15 months to go milestone.
Representatives from all 18 of the sports on the Glasgow 2014 programme were in attendance, which offered Team Leaders their first taste of a range of Glasgow matters including accommodation, accreditation, competition scheduling, venue information and more.
