Freestyle Wrestling Competition

2018

Date of Competition:

Sunday 29th April 2018, Start Time – 9.30am

Venue & Weigh-In:

Saturday 6.00pm – 8.00pm & Sunday 8.30am – 9.00am, Singh Sabha Sports Centre, Slough, SL1 3LW

Ages & Weights:

Mini-Minis – Age 5 & 6 on day of comp– See below
Minis – Age 7 & 8 & 9 on day of comp– See below
Pre-Schoolboys – Age 10, 11 & 12 on day of comp– See below
Schoolboys – Age 13 & 14 on day of comp– See below
Cadets – Age 15 & 16 on day of comp– See below
Juniors – Age 17, 18 & 19 on the day of comp 
46-50K, 55K, 60K, 66K, 74K, 84K, 96K, 120K + 2K allowance 
Seniors – Age 20 – 34 inclusive on the day 
57K, 61K, 65K, 70K, 74K, 86K, 97K, 125K + 2K allowance 
Veterans – Age 35-60 on the day 
58k, 63k, 69k, 76k, 85k, 97k 130k + 2k allowance

Females: all ages to be matched on the day

All Mini, Pre School, School child, Cadet and Female Wrestlers to be matched on the day in accordance with current BWA guidelines 
with competitor’s who weigh no more that 10% above your own weight within your allocated age group. If there is no one in your weight category as a result of this pairing then your coach will be asked if you would prefer a walkover and we will try to get a friendly arranged for you / or you may choose to go into the next weight category within your age group and wrestle in that group instead – you will not receive a trophy in your normal weight category if this is your chosen option (once known what this is after pairing complete)

Online Entries Only:

£10 for Senior and Veterans
£5 for all other weight categories

All wrestlers must be registered members of the BWA.

Competitors can only be entered on-line if their membership is valid for 2018. Any person not registered or whose entry has not been received by the closing date will not be allowed to participate.

Non-UK entries Must be members of their home nation’s governing body prior to entering e.g. Irish Amateur Wrestling Association (IAWA)

All Club Secretaries are reminded that all Clubs, Coaches, Competitors and Officials must be registered with the B.W.A. for 2018 And Coaches must display their Coach ID.

Wrestling Commences at 9.30 am Sunday 29th April

Information for Spectators:

• Fees: Age 6 and under – Free, 7-16 years – £2.00, 17 years and above – £3.00
• Car Park: Free all day – Parking at owners own risk, although parking stewards will be present.
• Food and drink: Café Opening hours 8am-5:00pm – Hot/Cold drinks, vegetarian snacks.
• Special Notice: Strictly no alcohol/tobacco/drugs permitted inside the perimeter of the sports centre.
• Transport:
  • Slough Railway station <3km (fast trains from London Paddington and Reading available)
  • Slough Bus Station < 3km, No.5 bus to venue.
