76kg Georgina Nelthorpe Women’s Wrestling: 4 entries
Georgina wrestled the other three entrants in Nordic Pool. The other entrants were:
Adeline Gray USA; Bernadett Nagy HUN; Nikoletta Szmolka HUN
Georgina wrestled well coming ahead of Szmolka Nikoletta. She was the only wrestler to avoid being pinned by Adeline Gray, Gold medalist in 2015 World Championships!
45kg Malachy O’Rourke Freestyle Cadets: 7 entries
In his first match Malachy wrestled against Lukas Hanke (Turringen Ringenverband, GER) and won by pin in first round (6-1).
In his second match Malachy wrestled against Leon Schetterer (KVS Tennenbronn, GER) and lost 4-6.
In his third match Malachy wrestled against Batond Kaffai (HUN) and lost 2-8.
However, it should be noted that Malachy was not ready to wrestle 100% having suffered a hip injury in previous weeks.
Jatinder Rakhra attended as coach.
