Eligibility:

All participants must hold a current BWA licence
All participants will be required to show their passports or birth certificates at the weigh in.
Senior Participants must hold a current British passport.
Juniors/Cadets must hold a current British passport or British birth certificate.

 No Passport/Birth Certificate – No Weigh In – No Wrestling!

Competition format: The intended method of elimination for this event will be pools throughout (pools to pools). The first two players in each pool will qualify for the next round of pools. Using the Nordic System.

Weight Categories: Weight categories for the British Closed Championships (Senior) will be these same as those decided for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games

Seniors: Any person 18 years or over on the date of competition.
Any person 16 years or over on the date of competition may compete providing they have the written support of their parent(s) or guardian(s) and club coach.

Men’s Freestyle: 57K, 61K, 65K, 74K, 86K, 97K, 125K
Women’s Freestyle: 48K, 53K, 55K, 58K, 63K, 69K, 75K

Juniors: Born 1994, 1995, 1996 (18 – 20 yrs on the date of competition)

Junior Men Freestyle: 50, 55, 60, 66, 74, 84, 96, and 120kg. 
Junior Women Freestyle: 44, 48, 51, 55, 59, 63, 67, and 72kg.

Cadets: Born 1997, 1998 (16 – 17 yrs at time of competition)

Cadet Men Freestyle: 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 63, 69, 76, 85, and 100kg.
Cadet Women Freestyle: 38, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52, 56, 60, 65, and 70kg.

Weight Allowance: 2 kg weight allowance for seniors only

Registration and Weigh in:  The Flash Leisure Centre, Welshpool (the Venue)

Friday 4th April from 18:00hrs to 20:00hrs
Saturday 5th April from 08:00hrs to 08:30hrs
Singlets will be worn on the scales

Notes: All Club Secretaries are reminded that

• Clubs, Coaches, Competitors and Officials must be registered with the BWA for 2014 prior to the beginning of the competition
• No membership applications or entries will be accepted on the day of competition.
• Any person not registered or whose entry has not been received by the closing date will not be allowed to participate.

Some Home Nations have chosen to include this tournament as part of a selection process for the XX Commonwealth Games, Glasgow.
