Georgina Nelthorpe (ENG) 76kg: In the quarter-finals, Georgina df. Naomi Rachel DE BRUINE (AUS) by VPO1, 8 – 4.  In the semi-finals, Erica Elizabeth WIEBE (CAN) df. Georgina by VSU, 11 – 0. Wiebe, 75kg Rio 2016 Olympic Gold medallist went on to these finals and win Gold putting Georgina into the repechage.

In the Bronze medal match Georgina df. Hajaratu Mariama KAMARA (SLE) by VFA, 8 – 0
 

Curtis DODGE (WAL) 74kg: In the qualification round, Curtis df. Suresh Chanaka WARNAKULASURIYA FERNANDO (SRI) by VFA, 6 – 0.  In the quarter finals, Johannes Petrus BOTHA (RSA) df. Curtis 
by VSU 10 – 0. But Silver Medallist Botha put Curtis into the repechage,

Curtis first df. Abdulai SALAM (SLE) by VFA, 6 – 4, and then ASSIZECOURT (NGR) by VFA, 6 – 9 in the Bronze medal match

George Ramm (ENG) 57kg:
In the qualification round, Rahul Balasaheb AWARE (IND), eventual winner, df. George Anthony RAMM (ENG) by VSU, 11 – 0, putting George into the repechage.

George Ramm then defeated Thomas CICCHINI (AUS) 11 – 0 in the repechage, but in the Bronze Medal match, Muhammad BILAL (PAK) df. George, by VPO1, 6 – 0.

Earlier, Muhammad BILAL (PAK) had df. Gary GIORDMAINA (MLT) 
by VSU1, 12 – 2

Viorel Etko (SCO) 57kg:
With a bye through the qualification round, Viorel came up against Ebikewenimo WELSON (NGR) in the quarter finals.  Welson df. Viorel by VSU, 10 – 0 and went on to take one of the Bronze medals.


Ross Connelly (SCO) 57kg:
Divoshan CHARLES FERNANDO (SRI) used two takedowns in the first 3 minutes to take a 4-0 lead over Ross.  However, in an explosive start to the second period, Ross picked up a quick takedown and turn. At that point, the match was then tied with Ross leading 4-4 on criteria.  However, by the end, Fernando df. Ross by VPO1, 12 – 6
 

Alex Gladkov (SCO) 74kg: Muhammad Asad BUTT (PAK) df. Alex by VPO1, 10 – 3

Kane Daniel CHARIG (WAL) 65kg:

Quarter-Final: Kane defeated Charlie James BOWLING (ENG) 
by VSU, 10 – 0

Semi-Final: Kane defeated Jean Guyliane Joris BANDOU (MRI) by VSU, 10 – 0

Gold medal match: Kane was defeated by Bajrang (IND), by VSU, 10 – 0

Charlie James BOWLING (ENG) 65kg:

Quarter-Final: Kane CHARIG (WAL) defeated Charlie J
by VSU, 10 – 0

Bronze medal match: Charlie defeated Jean Guyliane Joris BANDOU (MRI) by VSU, 10 – 0


Sarah Louise MCDAID MCCLOSKEY (NIR) 57kg:

Round 1: In her her first bout, Sarah met 2017 world finalist Odunayo ADEKUOROYE (NGR) and the bout ended with an 11-0 technical superiority victory by Adekuoroye.

Sarah won her next match against Noellancia Genave (MRI) with a Pin, but in her last match was pinned herself in a loss against Tiako Joseph Essombe (CMR).


Leon RATTIGAN (ENG) 97kg:

Qualification: Jordan STEEN (CAN) upset two-time Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Leon RATTIGAN (ENG), 10-0 in round number one. Then Martin ERASMUS (RSA) continued his domination of the 97kg weight class, beating Steen, 12-2, so there was no way through to the repechage for Leon.

Joe Samuel HENDRY (SCO) 97kg:
Qualification: Nicolaas VERREYNNE (AUS) brought the home crowd to their feet as he picks up a fall over Joe with final score, by VFA, 5 – 0. However, Verreynne was then defeated by Martin ERASMUS (RSA) who went on to win Gold, leaving no way through to the repechage.
