Funding for Wrestling Activities

The raising of funds to support wrestling activities is hard work and is a mixture of an art and a science.

There are sources of funding available.  These have to be actively sought out and then carefully applied for to ensure that the needs of the funding provider are properly met.

Clubs: Sport England Small Grants
Sport England has a small sports fund that clubs can apply for. (link)  The Sport England Small Grants Programme uses lottery funding to make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations, like Wrestling Clubs, to deliver new community projects to either grow or sustain participation in sport or to support talent development. Some Wrestling Clubs have already been successful in obtaining grants from the Small Grants Programme.
