Gold Challenge

Gold Challenge is a unique new charity challenge where you can test yourself in 5, 10, 20, or 30 Olympic and Paralympic Sports by the end of 2012.

You can take part in Gold Challenge as an individual or as part of a team challenge each taking on your chosen Olympic and Paralympic sports. Gold Challenge gives you the choice of over 100 charities to fundraise for whilst completing your charity challenge. So choose your challenge and choose your cause!

Your chosen sports are completed by either undertaking a minimum of three hours coaching – ideal for learning a new sport – OR by completing an endurance event such as a marathon or triathlon.

Sports can be done anywhere across the UK in local clubs, leisure centres and through local events.

The Gold Challenge is open to everyone aged 16 and above and encourages everyone to take part irrespective of ability and fitness levels. A programme for younger participants is now being developed.

The Gold Challenge works with the British Olympic Association, Sport England, sportscotland, Sport Wales, ParalympicsGB and the National Governing Bodies of the Olympic and Paralympic sports. It is part of ‘Places People Play’ – the official mass participation legacy programme for London 2012.

British Wrestling is working with the Gold Challenge organisation to design a consistent Wrestling offer.
