North Region Wrestling Closed 2021
The North Region Wrestling Closed ran on the 27th November to great success. The competition was well attended with 57 athletes booked in and 50 wrestlers attending on the day (7 dropping out due to various reasons).
The competition was a success with positive feedback from both the clubs and competitors. The competition consisted of 44 bouts over the day with wrestling finishing by 13:00 even with a delay to closing the weigh in due to Storm Arwen. The wrestlers and clubs were of a great standard from across the board.
From a volunteers stand point we had Bolton Wrestling Clubs own Katie Hayes referee for the first time during the event and did a brilliant job.
We would like to thank our volunteer workforce for supporting the competition over the weekend and making the effort to come in through wind and snow to support #wrestling.
