It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Sudron at the age of 69 from MND (Motor Neuron Disease).
Dave represented Great Britain as a referee at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He was a former Head Referee of British Wrestling and multiple Commonwealth Games Referee, lastly at Glasgow in 2014 as he retired from international refereeing.
Dave and his son Mick were Technical Officials at the 2022 Commonwealth Games
Dave who founded Stockton Wrestling Club in 1984, was one of British Wrestling’s longest-serving officials having begun refereeing in 1991.
The thoughts of British Wrestling are with Dave’s family and friends at this tough time.
