Wrestling NI, the member body for British Wrestling in Northern Ireland, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the British Wrestling Board as Home Nations Director for Northern Ireland. This voluntary position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of wrestling across the nation.

British Wrestling, the national governing body for the sport in the UK, is committed to developing wrestling at all levels – from grassroots clubs to elite performance on the international stage. Wrestling NI plays a crucial role in supporting clubs, organising competitions, and nurturing talent through the Northern Ireland squad.
The Role
As Home Nations Director for Northern Ireland, you will be a vital link between Wrestling NI and the British Wrestling Board. You will champion the needs of Northern Irish wrestling, ensuring its voice is heard and its priorities are reflected in the national strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and guidance on the development and improved performance of wrestling in Northern Ireland.
- Act as a point of contact for clubs and members, addressing concerns and facilitating communication with British Wrestling.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership of British Wrestling, ensuring a clear vision and effective governance.
- Participate in board meetings and contribute to decision-making processes that shape the future of wrestling in the UK.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge and experience of wrestling in Northern Ireland, with an understanding of grassroots development, performance programmes, or wrestling administration.

- Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute meaningfully to board-level discussions and decision-making.
- A commitment to diversity and inclusion, and a belief in the power of sport to transform lives.
Time Commitment and Benefits
This is a voluntary position requiring approximately one day per month, with expenses covered in line with British Wrestling’s policy. You will have the chance to make a real difference in the wrestling community, contribute to the strategic direction of the sport, and work alongside a passionate and dedicated team.
