About Mick

Mick is an experienced business leader and wrestling coach with over 40 years of involvement in wrestling. He currently runs a successful full-time gym business and previously held senior management responsibilities within a major national retailer, overseeing financial operations, customer relations and commercial negotiations.

As both an athlete and coach, he has represented Great Britain internationally. Competing at junior level, he achieved a 6th place finish at the World Championships, before later progressing to coach Great Britain athletes at European and World Championship events. He holds a UWW Level 3 coaching qualification and has extensive experience supporting athlete development across all levels of the sport.

As England Director for British Wrestling, Mick is passionate about strengthening wrestling across the England regions and improving the overall experience for athletes nationally. He is committed to developing greater collaboration, stronger regional structures and long-term opportunities that support the continued growth of wrestling throughout England and the wider UK.
