As Government begins to release lockdown across the country, British Wrestling has been working with our clubs to help them through these difficult times and ready themselves for reopening. From this we have created various pieces of content to support clubs to come back from lockdown. Below are a few things to bear in mind as you return to the mat.
Club’s that are reopening will be affiliated to British Wrestling to abide by the high standards of wrestling, the standards we look at for clubs to join can be seen below. You can find all our affiliated and associated clubs via our club finder. If you’re looking to affiliate or need support please contact British Wrestling via email@example.com.
If you’re a club or a volunteer at a club, we have produced material to help support your club when it reopens. From Covid Guidance posters covering health guidance to social distancing and wrestling related posters to help recruit members and volunteers back. All the posters can be downloaded below or from our Covid19 area.
To support our clubs and assist them in recruiting volunteers and members, we will be promoting affiliated clubs via social media. We ask our clubs to submit photographs of their clubs to firstname.lastname@example.org that we can use to promote them online.
If you’re a volunteer or a coach and looking to come back after this lockdown, you can prepare yourself with the free training provided by British Wrestling in partnership with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). British Wrestling works closely with Sport England and their ClubMatters Team. If you’re a volunteer or run your own club, there are free workshops to help support you and your club with any areas you require support with. Click here for further information about ClubMatters and available workshops.
