Scottish wrestlers have performed superbly at the Commonweath Championships in Jalandhar, India.
The squad will be returning home with a haul of five individual medals – two silver and three bronze, as well as the trophy for third overall female team.
Ashlea McManus won silver in the 67 kilogram category, and Masoud Yosefi in 84kg. There were bronze medals for Viorel Etko at 60kg, Donna Robertson at 51kg, and Jayne Clason at 55kg.
“It was an excellent team performance. All of our wrestlers did well against tough opposition and did Scotland proud,” said Scottish Wrestling President, Gerry Malone.
Wrestlers from 12 countries competed in the Championships and Louisa Salmon achieved a silver medal for England at 59kg.
