The 2019 TALLINN OPEN is Europe’s largest wrestling tournament.

Spread across three days, 29-31 March 2019 there is weigh-in, followed by Greco Roman and Freestyle/Freestyle Women.

It will be a very exciting weekend for the National Talent Squad as there will be over 20 athletes from the BWA descending on Tallinn.

The weekend will see approximately 2000 wrestlers from 30 countries wrestling on 14 mats!

Congratulations to the following who will be representing GBR in Tallinn:

GBR Athletes (Female) – Kelsey Barnes, Lucy McGrath, Abbie Fountain & Ella Johnson
GBR Athletes (Male) – Yahia Tehami, Abdullah Hussain, Abdullah Bhaijee, Saroop Bal, Yahia Abdullah, Nathan Livesey, Mohammad Hussain, Isa Khalil Alam, Ellis Crossley, Harvey Ridings, Georgi Nikolov, Ben Godfrey, Charlie Meadows, Joe Seddon & David Siko
Athletes – Danoush Jowkar, Arin Sekirden, Harry Meadows & team from Brondesbury School (London)

“It’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make this possible for our athletes and coaches to attend but we have dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure these trips happen,” said Jatinder Singh Rakhra (Talent Pathway & Performance Lead).

“I am very proud to see how the talent pathway has grown and progressed over the last year and I would like to thank the athletes, parents and most importantly the coaches for their continued support.”

“The best of luck to all our competitors and here’s to a successful weekend!”
