Last week, British Wrestling sent Mayashan Sharmadekker, Danoush Jowkar, Louis Costello and Oliver Stirrup along with team leader Oksana Rakhra and team coach Mo Osman to represent Great Britain and British Wrestling at the U17 Europeans in Albania. The four members of the NPS Squad did British Wrestling proud.
Although the results weren’t what the athletes hoped for, they were given a valuable insight into the commitment and discipline it takes to compete at the highest level. Together they helped British Wrestling achieve 13th place overall as well as Danoush managing to place 7th in Europe out of 19.
British Wrestling is also proud to be sending Micah Naisbet and Harvey Ridings to the upcoming U20 Europeans in Spain and Phoebe Cocker to the U15 Europeans in Hungary.
