We are pleased to announce that UK Sport has selected British Wrestling’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Saam Falahati for their prestigious International Leadership Programme in 2023.
The International Leadership Programme (ILP) is UK Sport’s flagship training programme for high-calibre British sports administrators and retired athletes who are seeking to operate at a senior level in international sport. The programme forms a critical part of UK Sport’s international relations mission, which is for the UK to positively shape the direction and development of the international sporting system, through its strong voice, ethical approach and global reputation.
This exclusive programme is only open to 14 individuals each year from across the Olympic and Paralympic sports and Dr Saam’s selection recognises his personal commitment to developing his and GBR’s influence internationally. The first of four residential workshops, each focusing on different themes in international sport, took place last week on 8th and 9th July. You can read more about the launch of the programme here.
