📅 Upcoming British Wrestling Referee Clinics
British Wrestling is excited to announce a series of upcoming online referee clinics as part of its ongoing commitment to developing and supporting its community of Technical Officials. These new virtual clinics are an innovative step forward in ensuring that wrestling referees across the country have the resources they need to learn, grow, and communicate effectively to maintain and improve their skills.
As demand for qualified officials continues to rise, these online clinics offer a convenient and accessible way for aspiring and existing referees to refine their knowledge. The virtual format ensures that officials from all over the UK, regardless of location, can participate in professional development without the need to travel.
The online clinics will focus on key aspects of officiating, including rule updates, interpreting match situations, managing the energy of a live event, and maintaining communication with coaches and wrestlers. This new approach will also offer the opportunity for referees to connect with one another, exchange insights, and ask questions in real time, fostering a stronger network of support among officials.
“The introduction of these online clinics is a fantastic step forward continued learning for our officials” said Andreas Michaelas, Workforce Manager at British Wrestling. “Not only do they make it easier for referees to learn and grow, but they also create an open line of communication, helping officials to continuously improve their skills. By offering this flexibility and support, we are empowering referees at all levels to be the best they can be, which ultimately enhances the quality and integrity of wrestling in the UK.”
The new online clinics are an excellent opportunity for both experienced and aspiring referees to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the sport. Whether you’re looking to become a referee or to further your knowledge and expertise, these clinics provide a valuable platform to stay connected with the wider wrestling community and continue improving your skills.
