British Wrestling is proud to announce that United World Wrestling` will be piloting their new Coaching Level 2 course at the British Wrestling Academy Salford using UK-based delegates.
This follows last year’s success of the UWW Referee/Coach Educators’ pilot course that ran last November 2017, again hosted by British Wrestling.
The UWW Coaching Level 2 pilot course runs 12-16th September 2018. It is a pilot course only, as UWW bring in a Level 2 to complement their existing Level 1. It is worth noting that the contents of their Level 1 course is based, in significant parts, on the content of the UKCC courses run by British Wrestling which was made available to UWW.
Inevitably, there were limited places (10) available on the pilot Coaching Level 2 course and it was not possible to offer every potential candidate a place. A reserve list was employed but those on the initial list were able to attend. The criteria used to invite candidates were under the headings of:
(a) Development
(b) Performance
(c) Organisation
(d) Pathway Leads from Scotland & NI
(e) Reserve List
We look forward to hearing feedback as to how the course goes.
