Following the selection procedure below there will be two wrestle-offs, beginning at 9.30am on Thursday 15th July, at The British Wrestling Academy. Wrestle-offs will be the best of three matches.
At 74kgs the athletes competing are Michael Grundy and Salmon Maltsiev.
At 84kgs the athletes competing are Mohammed Osman and Jag Bhullar.
Details of those selected to represent England at The Commonwealth Games will be given after the final selection meeting and after the team has been sanctioned by Commonwalth Games England.

Addendum to English Wrestling Team selection procedure
With the proximity of the GB Cup, there is an addendum to the selection of English Wrestling Team to the 2010 Commonwealth Games…
The selection committee will meet on Monday 5th July to consider selection of athletes to represent the English Wrestling Team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Athletes who are selected at this initial meeting to represent Team England will be informed on Tuesday 6th July of their selection.
Where the selection committee decide that the top ranked wrestler at a particular weight class has not been determined then a ‘wrestle-off’ will be required.
The athletes required to ‘wrestle-off’ will be informed on Tuesday 6th July of the request. All wrestle-offs will take place on either Thursday 15th July or Friday 16th July at the Wrestling Academy, Salford. The wrestle-off will be the best of three matches. The weigh-in will take place at 5pm on the evening before the wrestle-off with a two kilogram weight allowance.
The selection committee will again meet on Saturday 17th July following the GB Cup. The final team selections will be made at this time. Athletes who are selected at this meeting will be informed on Sunday 18th July.
Finally, on Monday 19th July, a press release will be released naming the English Wrestling Team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games
