British Wrestling are working with more and more clubs. We now support a range of clubs from recreational clubs who are looking to create a community for wrestling in their local areas to competitive clubs.

Sport England released the ‘Tackling Inequality Fund’ to help support clubs and communities struggling with the after effects of COVID and the Lockdown period. British Wrestling secured £60,000 to support 37 clubs. This has helped support these clubs which has led onto the growth we’re seeing in the sport this year.
BWA Clubs have been working hard to bring in support for wrestling in their local areas. Clubs of note who have worked with BWA and Sport England on their own Crowdfunding projects have brought in over £34,000 between them to grow wrestling in their clubs. https://britishwrestling.org/sport-england-supporting-local-wrestling-club/

2022 has seen 55 new coaches joining the British Wrestling workforce this year. These volunteers have been invaluable to the growth of the sport. If you’re interested in becoming a coach contact us at email@example.com for more information
With support from Sport England we’ve continued to develop our competition system (C-Mats). We’ve expanded it to create a Wrestling League System to run wrestling leagues at a local level.
